John C. Pendergrass

John is a Ph.D. candidate in the Management Information Systems program within the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business, and a fellow in the ESP-IGERT program. He holds a B.S. in Computer & Information Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a M.S. in Information Systems from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. John has over 25 years experience in information technology including IT management, project management, and systems & database administration.

Research Interests


John's research interests include health informatics, information systems interoperability, such as health information exchanges, electronic security and privacy, and ethics of information management.
