Internet Research Ethics: Current challenges, best practices, and unresolvable dilemmas

Annette Markham, PhD is Guest Professor in the Department of Informatics at Umea University in Sweden and in the School of Communication at Loyola University in Chicago. As Chairperson of the Ethics Working Group for the Association of Internet Researchers, she recently co-authored the organization's Ethics Guide, "2012: Ethical decision-making and Internet research 2.0: Recommendations from the AoIR Ethics Working Committee."
